Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct

The Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct is located in the Colombo Fort area, just opposite the World Trade Centre buildings. The premises functioned as a hospital during Dutch rule, hence the name. It is considered to be the oldest building in the Colombo Fort area, with the earliest record of the place coming from 1681. The present-day complex is an exciting space for shopping, dining and recreation.

Indulge in some of the city’s best seafood at Ministry of Crab, sample delicious pizzas, pastas and burgers at Colombo Fort Café or fill up on bar snacks and a cold beer at Next Innings or Taphouse. The precinct also has a number of shops that sell souvenirs and trinkets. Definitely pay a visit to Spa Ceylon for a rejuvenating massage or to stock up on some relaxing balms, lotions and oils that will transport your mind back to Sri Lanka once you return home.
