Dating back more than 2,500 years, the Ravana Cave is located close to the Ravana Ella waterfall. It is quite an intriguing site that is believed to be one of the locations in which King Ravana hid Princess Sita after he abducted her. Recent archaeologists, however, claim that the caves predate the events of the Ramayana.
What to Expect
The Ravana Cave is located in close proximity to the Ravana Falls, and is a historic attraction in Ella. The cave is supposed to be just one of the places in which King Ravana imprisoned Princess Sita. It is further believed that this particular cave is part of a unique system of tunnels, which are believed to connect to other various other tunnels.
The trek to the cave entrance will let you enjoy some great views of the lush green mountains, and also let you witness some interesting flora and fauna along the way.

- The climb to the cave can be tough, as some of the uneven steps are rather steep.
